The southwestern state of Ogun in Nigeria is more prominent for its rocky parts, but this is not just all that it is made up of.
The capital city, Abeokuta (meaning under the rock), confirms the notion that the city is filled with rocks, but this is contrary to what Naij.com has discovered.
A recent visit to the town showed that houses are being built beside rocks and occasionally, the rocks looked like they were going to fall on the houses.
In a bid to unravel the mystery behind the houses being built side by side with the rocks, Naij.com’s photojournalist and correspondent went further up the mountainous areas to check out how the houses managed to stand beside the rocks and at times, on top of the rocks.
