However, according to The Sunday People, Wayne Rooney has decided to stay at Manchester United, turning down two lucrative offers to play in the Chinese Super League.
The source reports that the England international and agent Paul Stretford have fielded several enquiries from Asian clubs, and turned down the chance to move east in favour of remaining at Old Trafford.
“Rooney is aiming to stay at the club until at least 2018, with an eye to breaking Sir Bobby Charlton’s all-time scoring record and adding to the silverware collection at United, who could miss out on a trophy for the third season running,” it stated.
