– Rerun election was scheduled to hold in eight Nigerian states on February 20

Earlier in February the Independent National Electoral Commission approved February 20 as the date for rerun elections in Kaduna, Plateau, Niger, Benue, Nasarawa, Kogi, Taraba and Imo states.
The process in Benue, as a result of which David Marks of the Peoples Democratic Party was declared winner, was the one most widely publicized. Below you will find the updates on the development in other states.
Kogi state
The PDP claims victory in Kogi Central, providing the following figures.

Taraba state
Similar situation was observed in Taraba, where the opposition party claimed to have won the rerun election. However, the official figures are yet to be obtained.

Imo state
The INEC yesterday postponed the rerun election for Imo North senatorial district. The move was made after the police warned the officials they could not guarantee safety following youth unrest. However, the Imo state chapter of the PDP has accused the state officials and security agencies of complicity in the aborted Saturday election.

Kaduna state
Idris Katari of the APC has emerged winner of the rerun election conducted in Lere West state constituency. Channels TV reports with reference to the results announced by the INEC that the APC’s candidate polled a total of 17,672 votes to defeat the PDP candidate, Dogara Mato, who received 10,772 votes.
Plateau state
According to reports, Jackson Dandali of the APC won in Pankshin North constituency in the re-run House of Assembly election, with the APC’s candidate having polled 17,320 against the PDP candidate’s 16,817.
The result of Pankshin South is still being collated.
Information about the results of Niger and Nasarawa elections is yet to be provided.
It should be noted that only the INEC has the right to announce official results and declare the elections concluded.
